The International Civil Society Summit
The international summit of civil society in Montpellier began with 3 days of conferences from 05 to 07 October 2022. These days were punctuated by plenary sessions, roundtables, workshops … The objectives were to exchange, to find solutions and to put forward agroecology as a tool to solve many ecological, economic and social problems…. But also, to ensure a better resilience toward the face of the crises we are facing and will continue to face.
Award ceremony for the press cartoon contest: Earth & Drought
The 1st day ended at the City Hall of Montpellier. A cocktail was organized to welcome the 270 participants. The reception began with speeches by Patrice Burger, Chair of CARI and Clare Hart, Vice President of the Metropolis of Montpellier. These speeches were followed by the awarding of prizes for the press cartoon contest : Earth and Drought. In the presence of the President of the Jury Jean-Michel Renault, the winner of the 1st prize, Victor Solís, who came from Mexico for the occasion, was able to express his enthusiasm to contribute to this international dynamic, hoping to contribute to the awakening of consciousness on today’s issues.
