Tunisia: National workshop on the levers for transforming sedentary production systems in Tunisia on 18 and 19 June

ACDD, WWF North Africa and IRA are organising a preparatory workshop on drought and land degradation on Wednesday 18 June from 9am to 5.30pm and Thursday 19 June from 9am to 2pm at the Institut Des Régions Arides in Médenine (Tunisia).

This workshop is being organised to bring together national stakeholders to identify the levers for transforming sedentary production systems in Tunisia to make them more resilient to drought and land degradation.

This one-day workshop will be structured around thematic presentations by experts and institutions, testimonies from players in the field (farmers, breeders, CSOs), working groups and recommendations and advocacy messages.

The ACDD association carries out and supports all kinds of sustainable development projects, mainly in rural and vulnerable areas.

WWF North Africa is taking concrete action in Tunisia and North Africa to protect natural environments and their species, promote sustainable lifestyles, train decision-makers, support local residents in reducing their ecological footprint, and contribute to environmental education for young people.

The Institut des Régions Arides (IRA) carries out the research needed to develop the agricultural sector, protect and conserve natural resources and combat desertification in arid and desert regions.
