This national workshop brought together civil society players, government and independent experts from the environmental and ecological sector.

Participants discussed the following topics:

  • Drought, desertification and agriculture: mapping areas at risk ;
  • Trans-Aqua Project;
  • Climate migration and pressure on resources ;
  • Agroecology and the fight against drought ;
  • Governance of water resources in the DRC and transboundary water management in the Congo Basin.

At the end of the meeting, advocacy initiatives for sustainable water management in the Congo Basin were formulated and will be addressed to the various decision-making bodies.
