The Women’s Network for Environmental Rights (REFEDE-Mali) organised a national preparatory workshop for Désertif’actions 2026, with support from GIZ. The workshop brought together around fifty participants to identify ways of supporting farms and livestock farms in their transition to greater resilience in the face of drought.

The Desertification Working Group (GTD) organized and led a national preparatory workshop (France) to gather the specific concerns of civil society actors on issues surrounding the resilience of territories in the face of drought.

Burkina Faso hosted a national preparatory workshop on 19 and 20 June 2025. The meeting, which was held at the SPONG offices in Ouagadougou, brought together various stakeholders involved in the fight against desertification and climate resilience.

Change Human’s Life (CHL) organised a national workshop in collaboration with several partners, including GIZ (German International Cooperation Agency) and CARI (Centre d’Appui à la Recherche et à l’Innovation). The aim of the event was to promote agro-ecological solutions as effective responses to land degradation and desertification, crucial issues in Côte d’Ivoire and in many arid regions of the world.
