Phase 1 – preparations for the International Summit continue! After the start of preparatory workshops in a number of countries (the first workshops will begin in June!), we’re taking advantage of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought to launch our online survey on drought issues!
Take part in our online questionnaire!

The aim of this online survey is to gather information on the mechanisms and instruments used to deal with droughts, before, during and after episodes. This questionnaire is aimed at people who have direct or indirect experience of droughts in a professional, voluntary, community, institutional or civic context.
Your answers will provide a better understanding of existing schemes and will feed directly into Désertif’actions 2026’s thinking and work, with a view to lobbying at COP17. They will help to identify priorities for action to strengthen the resilience of territories to drought.
Through this survey, in the form of open-ended questions or boxes to be ticked, we invite you to :
- Identify and describe existing drought management systems at different levels (local, national, international, customary).
- Assess their effectiveness in different contexts.
- Gather your concrete proposals for improvement or innovation
A progress bar shows how far you’ve progressed through the questionnaire, so don’t forget to click on the “Submit” button once you’ve made your contributions.
Your answers will be treated as confidential (anonymised).
